A cozy desktop companion for Windows

Your wallpaper just got a roommate.

Meet Wisp, the first Glowy. It follows your mouse, perches on your icons and naps on your Recycle Bin. It pays no rent, but it's very cute about it.

The Steam page opens soon. Wisp is practising its wave.

Wisp, a glowing little spirit with heart eyes, floating over a deep-sea wallpaper beside the desktop icons and the mouse pointer, a ripple spreading through the water

What does Wisp do all day?

Mostly, it keeps you company. It also does all of this:

Wisp in its flower crown flying through a sunset sky after a throw, trailing sparkles

Pick it up. Throw it.

Double-click Wisp and hold: it hangs from your pointer like a soft toy. Swing it, let go, and it bounces off your windows, lands a little dizzy and comes back with a heart. It forgives you. Every time.

Snow piled on top of a window, and Wisp in a winter hat sitting on it in front of an aurora

Snow on your windows

With Snowfall on, snow piles up on top of your windows and icons, hangs over the edges and breaks off in chunks. Brush it away with your mouse, or let it pile up. We won't judge.

Wisp holding a little umbrella in the rain, beside a note that says bring the umbrella

It brought an umbrella

In a thunderstorm, rain splashes on your windows, and if Wisp has its umbrella, it opens it. More prepared than most of us.

The dressing room in the Customize window: Wisp's five looks and its hats to pick from

A whole wardrobe

Hats, glasses, headphones, a scarf, a bow. 17 tricks, and each of its 5 looks does them its own way, with a super-rare big show to discover. Fashion week is every week now.

Wisp glowing in the deep sea as a whale passes above it

Scenes for your wallpaper

A night sky, an aurora, the deep sea (where a whale sometimes passes) and more. Plus 16 effects for your mouse and your whole desktop, from fireflies to fireworks. Yes, a whale.

Wisp glowing like a little ember beside a notepad window, its focus ring filling up

A tiny focus buddy

Start the Focus timer and Wisp sits beside your window while you work, then does a trick and takes a nap at the break. Living the dream, honestly.

Small, private and polite

The kind of roommate who does the dishes.

Game night? It naps.

It draws only while something moves, sleeps while a window or a game covers your desktop, and lets go of your graphics card when it's idle.

What happens on your PC stays there

No internet, no account, no tracking. Your settings stay on your PC. It dances to your music by reading only how loud your speakers are, never the sound itself, so your 2 a.m. ballads stay a secret.

A very tidy houseguest

It changes your wallpaper or mouse pointers only when you ask it to, and it can put everything back as it was.

Sensitive to flashing lights? "Gentler flashes" makes lightning and fireworks glow softly instead. And it speaks English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Русский, 日本語, 한국어 and 简体中文.

A drawing of Dias, who made Glowabouts

Hi, I'm Dias. I made Glowabouts one little trick at a time, and I hope Wisp finds its way to your desktop. Every sparkle you see is drawn by the app's own code.

Wisp is waiting by the window.

Go on, let it in. It's cold out there.
